Professor Anthony P. Schwarer is a specialist clinical haematologist and haemato-oncologist with interests in all aspects of malignant haematology particularly chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML), the acute leukaemias (AML and ALL), non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma. He also manages patients undergoing stem cell transplantation including autologous (self) and allogeneic (donor) transplantation.
Professor Schwarer began his career in Queensland graduating in 1980. He spent 4 years at the Hammersmith Hospital in London undertaking his doctorate before returning to Melbourne in 1992. He has spent the past 25 years working in the Box Hill precinct with appointments at Box Hill and Epworth Eastern Hospital.
